Finally, the stairs look like part of the house again instead of a work site. Once the loose mess was cleared away, the dusty film and dirty footprints on the dark tiles really stood out. Well, that was a bit of an eye-opener. I pay attention to the washing machine drum, but I hadn’t realized how much grime was hiding around these parts. The brown residue looked pretty awful up close. It was the grout lines for me. The tiles are dark, so all that discolored buildup between them really showed.
